You can have the right skills and still struggle to get hired.

Not because you’re unqualified, but because you’re unclear.

I see this often. People with solid experience, good results, relevant skills.

But when they’re asked, “Tell me about yourself,” they list tasks instead of value.

And that’s where the disconnect happens.

Skills don’t speak for themselves.

Your story does.

One client I worked with had everything on paper, but couldn’t clearly explain what they actually contributed.

We simplified it to this:

“I streamline internal processes, reducing turnaround times by 25% in my last role.”

Same experience. Different impact.

That’s what people remember.

If your resume, LinkedIn, and pitch all tell slightly different stories, or rely on vague phrases, that’s usually the issue.

Try this: Explain what you do in 1–2 sentences to someone outside your industry.

If it’s clear and specific, you’re in a strong position.

If it’s not, that’s the gap to work on.

Because people don’t just hire experience, they hire clarity and direction.
